I have a '73 B50 MX where the crankcase and primary oil can co mingle and I have a '67 Bonneville where the two are exclusive. In the '73 B50, I run the same 20w50 dino oil that I run in the OIF tank, in the primary. On the '67 I run 20w50 in the oil tank (usually Spectro Gold) and I use either Spectro or Harley Davidson Primary oil in the primary drive. Never had any problems with either.
