I am really debating cutting that bracket. It certainly raises the chain guide up a bit. The problem I see is that then the only mounting point on that side would be the chain guard...I'm nervous that it wouldn't be secure enough to prevent the hugger from contacting the wheel. But seeing as the bracket has already been cut half way by the chain...I'm inclined to just go for it. I'll see if larger sprockets make the difference first however...
