I replaced my engine recently and after getting the new one on I found I had an oil leak @ the drain plug. I tried to tighten it, replace washer, then teflon tape. still dripped from the drain plug, THEN I found it. just to the side of the drain plug, recessed into a part of the oil pan is a small torx screw. the oil is leaking from there and dripping off the drain plug when it gets there.

My question is what does this small torx screw secure?
I tightened it up and the leak stopped but I don't know what might have been loose on the other end of this screw and it's bugging me to know. :???:
