nsb748--- Let me suggest an alternate route across Pa. Rt 6 is OK but a lot of trucks and cars. I ride out there a lot.
Try this
- Rt 6 to Sheffield to rt 666 south
- 666 to Barnes to 948
- 948 to Ridgway to 120 east
- 120 to Renovo. A couple of miles past Renovo is Hyner Run State Park Turn left and take park road (very Twisty) up hill to 44 s
- 44s to 973e
- 973 to 87e
- 87 will dump you back on 6 outside of Scranton.
These are all excellent roads through the mountains with great scenery and no traffic. If you're making it a 3 day trip we stay at a place in Renovo called the Sportsman Inn just east of the town center. They have cheap rooms, a bar and a good restaurant.
