Hi Psionmark:

You did it as per directions. It's a fiddly job putting all that lot together and lining it up isn't it. I think you just had bad luck with the end falling out. The "head" of each tie which has had the pointy end cut off to be used as the oil deliverer is used as a hold down over the bent over top-end of the deliverer. I agree that the installation directions could use a polish, but once set up the device works very well and aside from the manufactured end you can rebuild any part of it from your local plastic shop.
