..... yeppers, I made the same mistake. And I STILL have it in place!?!?! Someday (soon?) it's coming outa there.
With the auto filter in place, it takes almost a half mile of sputtering at freeway speeds before the reserve kicks in. Prior to installing the auto filter, my technique has been to quickly switch to reserve, yank on the choke for a hot second, *BAM* instant gas feeding my carb's!
Sputtering and slowing for a half mile in the middle lane is no fun, lemme tell you!
