I use a Caberg/Jarrow/Justissimo Mono X2

It passes the EU certification. The catches are metal to metal and there is a metal bar that runs through the chin portion. The one handed flip up works well, with just one hand. It uses a quick connect instead of a Dring setup.

I had a grazing face plant in my off last year and the helmet took it on the chin (literally) and suffered a scrape, but stayed on and functioned well after the crash.

I wear a flipup for the convenience it affords a prescription glasses wearer.

While the helmet is slightly heavy when up, it just isn;t worn like that often enough for it to be a serious issue. Note that range officers in MC schools will justifiably argue that it does make a huge difference to them...
