Jeep,

I had the output shaft bearing replaced at 3500+ miles.
My dealer pulled the pan to make sure that no metal shavings were found in the pan.
With 7000 miles on the oil already, what would be the harm to change it while the engine is all apart and in the shop?

I think SOP when you break an engine down, is to change the oil before sending it out the door.

I'd insist on having it changed, covered by warranty.

My 2 cents worth.
Good luck.
