I have no experience with the paint. But if you like the black, GO WITH IT! I really like the look. But there is no logic or facts backing up my reply here. I just think if your gut tells your black, go with it. I had a similar color issue with my thruxton. I couldn't decided between the 4 colors on the market and almost commited to one I wasn't 100 about. I very glad I waited, because the blue is perfect in my eyes
