I use any SAE80 gearbox oil on my 05' Tiger's chain.
I had to tension chain a bit at 25.000km.
My dealer says, even if i do not lubricate it at all it will last about 35.000km
He's probably right, but i feel better with a clean chain!
On a bmw 650 i had, both chains (o-ring DID) lasted exactly 25000km. The first one had no lubrication at all, while the second had a weekly treat....
