The M bars do a good job of replicating wannabe clip on's, and they have a distinctive 'look' to them. I've used them right side up with risers, without risers, and the best handling characteristics were via their lowest position.... upside-down (or.... maybe that's "right side up" to some). You're gonna hafta decide for yourself if you can adjust to the resulting wrist angles, and there are quite a few different angles to be had with these bars. I like them.
Harley Davidson "Night Train" or their 'drag bars' (one in the same) don't work UNLESS you mount them on some risers..... they hit the tank or tank badges on full lock. A couple of us run these because we have the Thruxton tubes with the adjustable preload dealy sticking outa the top of our tubes. Risers is the only way we can clear them on our Bonnie's.
Soooo.... you chose to go Norman Hyde rear sets..... Do they afford you the clearance you were looking for?
