I have just a bit over 6000 miles on the bike and the gear change to first gear is still clunky but as the other riders posted it's finally starting to smooth out. I was also able to get a neautral from 5th to 6th with the stock gearing and since I dropped the front tooth down I have yet to experience this plus with the added mileage that may be a factor after all.
