Don't worry just yet, trannies take some time to break in.

Picked my S3 up with 3.3k on it, and the shifting was a bit notchy yet. Just changed the oil out and put in Shelll Rotella T Synth and it is shifting much better at 6K.

When I got my '97 VFR it has 2K miles on it and the transmission was horriable. It would not go into gear, had false neutrals all over, and was very notchy. I was using regualar honda Dino oil and it would shift like total crap when the oil had about 2K on it. As I rode it, it got better. When I switched to Rotella T Synth, it got great. The last 20k (traded the bike in with 49K on it) the transmission shifted like it was a hot knife thru butter.

Bottom line, use the synthetic oil and let the bike break-in.

Later.
