Thought I would commute to work on the tiger today as the weather was due to be reasonable.

Its a 37mile blast down the motorway and at 7 in the morning it can be cold at this time of the year.

Yippee for heated handle bar grips.

However after about half an hour, I noticed the throttle was not returning when I released it, it needed to be manually closed. It was alright at lunchtime, but the same thing happened again on the way home with the heated grips on.

A bit of spannering when I got home concluded that the grip was expanding with the heat and contacting the bar end. The rubber on the grip was acting as a friction damper and stopping the throttle from closing.

I have since managed to move the throttle along the bar to give a bit more clearance, but it seemed to be tight to move hence the gap did not increase that much.

I dread to think of the consequences if the throttle got totally jammed whilst doing 80mph down a motorway.

Anybody else experienced this problem?
