Consider something by Z1R, if you're truly Cheap.
Not sure if you bothered to read the big article in Motorcyclist that caused the folks at Snell to go ballistic, but
they conclude that the DOT helmets may actually be better for you. And the best in their test was a Z1R
Also, keep an eye on closeouts.
Motorcycle Superstore has Icon mainframes on closeout - $99 for blue, red or yellow, $129 for black. Not bad for a helmet that originally retailed starting at $220.
