I use the centrestand. If I need to get the front wheel off I put it on the centrestand and put a jack under the front of the motor, I use the centre bolt of my home made highway peg mount as a jacking point. Good centrestands on these( if you have one)
I think the best way if you dont have a centrestand is a cheap paddock stand(race stand thingy), they are usually about a third of the price of the genuine centrestand.
