I've had one car battery in all my years of driving/riding go on me very quickly and replaced under warranty.
I had a genuine Yuasa in a bike I bought new in 1991 that lasted 6 years with regular riding. I replaced it with other batteries after that and would get 3 years out of them, which I thought was quite good. However, the Yuasa cost about 50% more, but got 100% more life.
