That's very unfortunate to say the least. I'd think that with the Cat box removed, there would actually less exhaust heat because you removed the catalyzation process which in itself produces more heat. My wife melted her boot heel on the right pipe on my Classic on a short ride in the country and no stop and go driving.

On the plus side, that should be an easy repair for Corbin or a local body shop. The paint match is another story but it ius underneath in a less than visible spot.

I'm curious as to whether Corbin stands behind the repair. I have seen some less than favorable comments from Corbin purchasers.

Good luck and I certainly hope the repair is timely and satisfactory.
