Oh yeah..... I'm looking forward to hear what you think 'bout your yellow PIAA!!! I'm thinking that it's gonna make you MORE conspicuous to the cagers out there, and increase the contrast for percieved night vision.
What we need to stay away from is the sales pitch for the wannabe HID 'blue' tint bulbs. The BEST bulb is white, White, WHITE! Any kind of tint or coloring is a trick to convince us that the light is brighter, it's not....
But I'm an 'old school' fan of amber fog lamps because of the increased (percieved) level of contrast. It's said the amber/yellow is just a carry-over or "tradition" from the oil lamps of yesteryear. I happen to subscribe to that which the Europeans practice to this day.
By the way, you get what you pay for. PIAA is expensive but they run cooler, put out more light, and last longer. I've heard too many stories of folk burning up their wiring harness by going with something hella BRIGHT and of an unknown name......
