Your Ok and that is most important. I would take a serious look at the bike before I gave up on her. Check the classifieds here, I beleive it is jredd that is parting out a front end damaged tbird. He has a complete running motor that he would like to sell as a unit, also has many other parts. His bike is not comming back due to many reasons to include a hacked up electrical system from prior owner. I would look his post up in the classifieds because he has already sold some bits on ebay.
