I can't say that my choice is gonna set any gastronomic palates on fire, but...

It's not so much that the food is a gourmets delight, but the peace I get from when I eat at this particular restaurant.

Here in Tyler there's a place called Bruno's. It serves what I would call your basic Italian food. Spaghetti, lasagna, calzones, pizza, etc. I've been eating there since 1977.

One of my favorite routines, which is about once a week, is to to eat there. I usually (90% of the time) ride the bike, either the Beemer or the Triumph. Everyone knows me, I'm a regular, the guy on the motorcycle. I order my favorite menu item, a salami and provolone cheese sandwich. I open my newspaper read it front to back as I eat. No one bothers me, the waitress know what I drink and fills it up without request. I'm in my own world.

As someone who serves in an eccelsiastical position you can't imagine what a slice of heaven this place is to me. No phone calls, no members needing my attention, no one asking anything other than my order (which they already know) and paying my bill. If this place ever closes I'm not sure what I'm gonna do.
