+1 on wet towel and beer. Usually works better if you do it right when you finish ride and bugs still fresh. Works great on florida lovebugs.
This stuff also works really well.

Bike needs to be cool and out of sun to use it per instructions. Think spray bottle is about $7 at auto parts stores. Even takes off old dried love bugs.
