good point! A Triumph mechanic told me that they are put on using torx headed bolts that have are designed to break off at the tip when torqued but from their experience, they usually are not broken off 80% of the time. So you could get a torx socket on there and take them off without removing the triple clamp. I can feel with my fingers that the heads are still there.

on another note, what thief is going tp take the time to take the ignition apart by unbolting it anyways?
