If you do your own svc/maintenance, drop the oil around 300 miles run it for another 300 using the break in oil and change it again to synthetic.
There are many different theories to breaking in a motor.
The main things to stay away from are the constant speed for extended periods and over rev before 600 miles.
The best thing to do is bring it up to your 6k rpms and then let the engine do most of the braking and down shift threw the gears. Repeat and then let the motor cool and run it again.
