Still not convinced. I am thinking of taking an infrared temp sensor home from work. The protocol would be:
1) Mark a spot or two on each grip
2) Let the bike sit overnight
3) Note the ambient temperature in the garage
4) Take pre-test measurements at each spot
5) Fire the grips up on the tested setting (one day would be down, the next day up)
6) Take test measurement every two minutes for sixteen minutes, giving me 9 measurements a spot for each temperature
7) Compare the temperature curves for each setting to see which is hotter.
Hardly seems worth it, I think I will just keep riding.
