go to your local auto parts store and buy this:
Sylvania (or other manufacturer) H6024 bulb which includes the bulb/reflector/etc all sealed up just like the stock unit.
It costs about 12-15 dollars and is at least 3 times brighter than stock. The whole deal to switch it out should take about 30-45 minutes, even if you're not technically gifted.
Very much worth it, heck it's less than 20 bucks, especially if you ride at night.
