Thanks for posting your trip report. Very cool first solo trip for you and Ceil. I'm glad you made it up to Mitchell. They closed that section of the Parkway this week so your timing was perfect.
Next trip? Come back down south for an expanded (warmer) ride. New England is gorgeous and doesn't have to be enjoyed while Laconia is going on. Cape Cod, Maine (Rte 1, Lobster and roadside cottages), cut across NH and Vermont. Great roads into the White, Green and Berkshire Mountains.
You guys are lucky to be a little more central. Throw a dart at a map and go for it!
