Rode this weekend with the Avons (42psi rear/40psi front) recent valve adj, carb sync, plugs, and air filter cleaning. Ran backroads and superslab. Over 340 miles she averaged almost 42MPGs. We were playing a bit on the backroads and ran 80-85 mph on the 4 lane roads.
The guy with me was on a Concours and the only time we did anything differently was when I turned around to check out a sign while he waited at an intersection. But our odos read him travelling 1 mile more than I did when we stopped for lunch(at the 137 mile mark). He ended up with 45MPG's(I think) not bad when you consider the Concours has a 7.5 gallon tank.
