The problem was with the R1 forks since the were 30 mm shorter compared to the oem forks.
It would be ok for a rider who don't mind riding with a lot of weight on the wrists and a yearly membership to a chiropractor.
If a regular set of handlebars could be mounted up on the R1 triple clamp it would be great like Decosse and Kuhlka did with their conversions
This is what I would like to do in the future. For the time being I decided to use the R6 fork legs and when I compared the upper oem triple to the R6 upper triple I discovered that they were identical and that the Triumph RS triple would mount up to the R6 lower triple with no problem.
The R6 have the clip ons mounted on top of the triple clamp just like the Sprint RS.So everything fit together with no problem and since the RS clip ons are taller than the R6 it's a great riding position.
Another bonus is the calipers from the R6 and R1 imo they are top notch and they are a one piece design.
The only other thing I've done is to change the master cylinder to a 5/8" to get more pressure.
The R1/R6 master cyl is a 14mm just like the oem Triumph master cyl.
