Hi Mikey - congrats on your mod.

The other primary thing to consider with respect to steeing geometry is the offset between the stem & the forks, which also has a profound effect; You can do the math to see what the net result in trail is but I would think the shorter fork length somewhat offsets the also shorter offset?
Calculate the trail to see what the real difference is (of course noting that the rake will also change from 'spec' due to the shorter forks)

edit - as I re-read your post Mikey I'm not sure if the offset changed as you are utilizing original top clamp on theR6?


I'm not that familiar with the Sprint but it sounds like (from your comment about clip-ons below vs above the top clamp) that increased fork length of the original is actually above the top clamp anyway, meaning the net difference really isn't the 30mm? Or was your measurement already accounting for that?
