I have rewired old Brit bikes to negative ground using a solid state replacement for the zenor diode. Since the Mity Max does that for you(doesn't it?-it's been years) , you need to find the out if it has polarity requirements. Sorry I don't recall the spec for Mity Max off hand. I THINK it doesn't care. If you do this, be sure and clearly mark your battery leads(dont ask me how I know this)
