triumphtimes, The gearbox will smooth out pretty well by about 3500 miles...sixth can still be notchy at times on mine tho'.
A 17T countersprocket or a 44T rear sprocket offer the best bang for the buck and help the sub 4K performance. Everything else is personal preferance.
