I weighed my stock Thruxton mufflers. The total weight of the complete muffler system -- both mufflers, the two band clamps, the two decorative band clamp covers, and all the rubber bushings/bumpers -- was 6760 grams (14.87 pounds). That is quite a bit. Aftermarket mufflers can really save some weight. The bike will never be light, but a little weight trimmed here and there can add up.
