I thoguth everything was in good order once I replaced the coils however on the ride home yesterday the oil light stayed on.

Checked the oil level and everything seemed OK so made the ride home. Upon getting home I pulled the wire from the sending unit and the light stayed on. Checked the sending unit and it showed closed with engine off and open when on so the sending unit is working and oil presure is there.

Anyone come across this and possibly know where a possible short to ground may occur along the backbone or in the gauge area?

May tear into it next week however will be riding this weekend.
