Thanks all for the kind words. It was a very strange feeling to see the bike recovered like this, I actually never expected to see it again.

They actually arrested the guy riding it because he led the police in a high speed chase for a few miles before he finally gave up. He had two other outstanding warrants to his name and now he obviously has added another. He claims that he bought the bike in this condition which may or may not be true. Either way, one would have to realize that a vehicle is stolen when you are buying something with no keys and no title.

Strange thing is, you can see in the mess of wiring how they pulled everything apart and even destroyed the starter relay (immobilizer maybe?) to get the bike running. It is amazing to me that the thing even goes at all without the cluster... I thought that the cluster would be an integral part of the ECU. Guess not!
