Some may take offense to this comment, but I hope the effin squid that stole it was not wearing a helmet at the time and wearing shorts when he went down! I agree with hoping it to be a wright off especially since you didn't have it long enough to even get it dusty! Not to worry, now days most insurance company's wright them off. The plastic alone will set them back near 3 grand! The gauge pod will be another $1100! Most insurance company's wright off anything that approaches 50% value as they are on the hook for after service work until the vehicle is right if things pop up later. They usually prefer to avoid that hassle and seeing that most have very little experience with bikes it becomes even easier to just wright you a check and avoid any liability for any possible injuries from something that got missed down the road.
I read one report from a guy in England last year where the insurance company was willing to replace his non ABS model with an ABS model because that is what the dealer had in stock and they just wanted to close the file. No extra cost just get the bike and get on with it!
