I know of another bike that did this and it turned out to be a faulty oil pressure sensor. Might not be your cause, but the best bet would be to get someone with a tuneboy to do a diagnostic for you.

BTW, you do not need an unlock code to do diagnostics, any working tuneboy can diagnose any bike.

write down some more facts: did you key off then on to re-start, or just re-fire the starter? Might be a fuel pump relay issue if that's the case.
are you getting the MIL light, or the oil pressure light when it dies?
