I don't have the old Tiger but rode it on extensive test ride and liked it. I like the 1050 but thought they missed an opportunity to evolve the current Tiger styling. Kind of like Porsche has evolved the 911 but you still can still see the heritage of the sixites era 911s in the current edition.
I will look at the new 1050 as a potential complement to my Bonnie. But I won't ever part with the Bonnie. If or when the engine ever blows up or needs a re-build, it will get the 1000 cc kit and hot cams from British Customs.
