Funny thing, I put thruxton needles in yesterday precisely because of the flat spot between 2500 and 3000 rpm.
Great results - now perfectly smooth through full range of rpms from 1500 through to about 6000 (about as high as I get).
I'm guessing you're going to see about the same results as I am. My setup is: 115 mains, de-baffled & drilled stock pipes, snorkle removed.
