I started looking for a bike in September of last year. I stopped into South East Sales in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
http://www.southeastsales.com
They sell Triumphs, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and down the street about 100 yards, BMW in a different building. I remembered them when in high school (1964 grad) when they were Hertig’s Triumph. At that time they had been around for a while. I was all set to get a jap bike until I sat on a new 2004 Speedmaster. 0.6 miles left over. My knees were bent and my feet were flat on the ground. With the big discount to move the bike and the $500 Triumph accessories (a windshield), I couldn't’t resist. Bought it on April 13th and drove it away about 15 minutes before closing time on the 15th. I had not ridden for about 39 years, I was scared to death. Dan the salesman, Dan the service Manager and Terry, the General Manager assured me it will come back in one mile. The torque on a Speedmaster is unreal at low RPM’s, which can be good, and can be bad

Now, 158 days later, 3 road trips, & 8100 miles later- they were right Got the sissy seat, low back, slash cut pipes, and other than checking the tire pressure and lubricating the chain- love it!! Zero problems. With the 500 mile check, 6,000 mile check and the 8,000 mile check, maintenance has been about $0.04 cents a mile and the Pipes installed were about $450.00. The only thing I would change on the bike would be to add a turbocharger- just kidding.

I forgot to get to the point. I would look for a dealer like Southeast Sales who has been around a while- you can mess up servicing a car but not a motorcycle!
