There are two types of "Western" bars. Bellacorse's Western bars are compatible with stock cables. NewBonnieville sells Norman Hyde Western bars and they require longer cables. I have the Bellacorse Western bars and really like them. I tried the M bars, and although I thought they looked great, I needed a little more height and pullback, so I switched the the BC Westerns. The BC Western bars are similar to the OEM bars in ergonomics but are much more flowing and attractive. RaceDweeb can correct me on this if I'm wrong, but I've been under the impression that the BC Western bars are an HD Sportster product.
