That connector was just tucked away on my '98 Speed Triple (same 885i motor as your Tiger). My manual indicates it is controlled by the ECU on models so equipped. May set a code but that would be easy enough to find out. Just try it. Might an ECU map for a non-California model prevent the trouble code?
