I use the Cheng Shing as well. But I do not ride it hard, although they are rated well within specs. They also have the 'vintage thread patterns.
My take on tires anymore is>Take the whell off,tire and tube.. clean it good and tke it to a cycle shop. I have wasted too many tubes.
Here is a good "bummer" I was in Strawberry Fields in 68 and had a flat. I pushed the honda to a gas station and proceede to fix it myself. To make a freaked out story short, I ended up putting the tube in the tire bent over itself. Like U shape. I thought I was imagining things when the air I was putting in it was only inflafing 1/2 of the tire. I continued to fill the tire even though 1/2 of the tire wasn't inflating and it BLEW and sent colorfull dust all over, not to mention the blast alone sounded like a shot gun. The attendant let me keep it there for a couple days untill I could 'come down' with a new tube.
