when i picked my bike up, i had trouble getting the lock to fully engage. It would click but then would move forwards and backwards on the move. I tried greasing the lock and pin and pressing the seat down firmly. I even resorted to sitting on the pillion seat to see if that would help it to click properly.. No joy.

I then spoke to the dealer who said the seat locks are always problematic and they would look at it when i took it for the service.

In the meantime, i took the catch off the bike and fitted a couple of washers under the catch. It now locks fully and hasn't come loose since :-D

could be worth a go... A loose seat could prove very dangerous under harsh acceleration or braking :wow:
