Cover the seat when it will sit in direct sunlight that'll keep it cooler. The Corbin does sit slightly lower but it is much wider which gives you more room to move. quality control on the corbin is poor to fair. 1st 1000 miles it may be ok but after that it's down hill. this wasn't just one corbin but 2 of mine plus 3 more with people i ride with. personally I prefered the gel over the corbin. I just went with a bill mayer seat expensive but custom made for me. use the gel for awhile and see it you still like it. i doubt corbin will raise their prices anytime soon
