In support of darn near everyone's opinion... :razz:
The lads from the Destination RAT Pack here in Knoxville went down to a track day a couple of months back. I didn't get to go, but apparently the man to catch was a guy on an RS. None of the Daytona riders could even come close to him despite reapeated >157mph blasts through the straights.
We were talking about it later and the reason they came up with was a combination of the bike itself, the fact that he knew the bike like his own skin, and a complete lack of fear or hesitation on his part.
So (a la Dr. Rossi) it's a skillful rider on the an equally responsive bike that will take it every time.
...and for those of us with an RS -- it's that it's dead sexy!
