Since state populations vary so widely, that's a misleading way to look at it. Of course, we'd like to look at theft
rates (thefts per 100,000 motorcycles). Since I couldn't find motorcycles per state with a quick Google search, I calculated thefts per 100,000
residents for the states in xSpeed3x's list. This shows a different pattern (though R100 is still number two!):
1. Arizona - 48.0
2. Florida - 39.6
3. North Carolina - 37.9
4. Indiana - 36.0
5. Texas - 27.6
6. California - 26.9
7. Georgia - 26.4
8. Ohio - 22.7
9. Pennsylvania - 16.5
10. New York - 11.6
