Hi, some updates to my gearbox behaviour..
It seems that gearbox really needs a long break-in period as some of you have already suggested. I have driven around 5800kms (~3600 miles) until now and I'm not able to find similar 'problems' I found in the beginning.
For my S3's gearbox it took around 3000kms to finally 'broke-in'.
The noticeable notchiness between the 5th and the 6th gear was the last phenomenon to disappear..
