With a year and a half experience with the Rocket and this website, in my opinion --- almost certain your problem is in the set up and delivery area and not a big big problem with the bike or clutch design. Would suggest escalating your problem at the dealership and then directly to Triumph. And document what they are telling you or not telling you.
Sorry your having problems - likely dealer caused.
