From what I know nige the balance pipe on the 2000 on TBS does not itself interfere with the centerstand, it's the shape of the exhaust headers that does it. The up sweep is further back so what happens is that the arm of the centerstand hits it. I am pretty sure that it's a common misconception that you cant fit the centerstand because of the balance pipe. But some people have actually fitted centerstands to the 200 model year tbs without removing the balance pipe at all. they have had to cut the arm off the side of the stand though. I am assumign thats because it hits the upsweep on the TBS pipe.

I know what you mean about not wanting to modify your standard parts. I was just thinkign that a set of Legend headers would be as easy to obtain second hand as those from any other T3. If you were then positioning the balance pipe yourself you shoudl be able to do it in a place that would ensure the centerstand wouldn't hit it.
